The Data Catalog currently includes about 60% of the original BAER spatial data files. These files can be downloaded from the Data Catalog page. Additional information and files will be put online as they become available. We wholeheartedly request your comments and requests via the Feedback page.

NOTE: Due to changes in LANL security precautions, detailed maps of Lab technical areas are forbidden on external web pages. We have received permission to provide less-detailed coverage, such as the BAER maps.

4/02 - Links have been added to fire-related websites, accessible on the Data Catalog page. These are sources of information on the Cerro Grande fire as well as current fire, moisture, and weather conditions.

The U.S. Forest Service has graciously provided presentations of Cerro Grande post-fire images that show the effects of the fire and of erosion and runoff-control measures. Post-fire research done by LANL and other agencies are being put online as well. We send our thanks to the contributors.

5/02 - A touchscreen display of this website is at the Bradbury Science Museum in Los Alamos. The superb efforts of our staff and many others during and since the fire have been recognized by a "Special Achievement in GIS" award.
